The standard lag makes “Guomen” useless and foreign banned food cling film actually enter the country.

On the 16th, the reporter interviewed the China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association on the situation of the influx of foreign food cling film into China. The association confirmed that since the second half of the year, food gelling films containing dioctyl adipate (DEHA) that can cause diseases of the endocrine system have been banned in the United States, South Korea, Japan and other countries. Mitsubishi and Sanrong’s three food preservation film brands have accounted for nearly 80% of the domestic market.
Experts from the association, Mr. Zhu Shengsuo, said that although the current PVC production process has been greatly improved, and the content of harmful components in food-grade products has met the hygienic standards, a large amount of plasticizers must be added to the plastic wrap to achieve softness and Paste properties. Since the plasticizer is not combined with the plastic molecules but mixed together, the plasticizer may migrate from the cling film into the food when the cling film contacts the food. Foreign studies have shown that the current PVC plasticizer species mostly affect human health, such as interfering with human endocrine, causing breast cancer in women, birth defects in newborns, male reproductive disorders and even mental illness. Experiments have shown that the presence of dioctyl adipate in animals causes problems such as carcinogenesis and damage to the endocrine system. Because of this, the United States and Japan have prohibited the use of materials containing dioctyl adipate in food packaging since 2000 and in South Korea from the second half of this year.
Liu Dongsheng, deputy secretary-general of the China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association, said that in the development of the food plastic wrap film industry in China, taking into account the health problems of consumers, PVC was not used as a raw material. Instead, it was selected as sanitary without adding plasticizers. Polyethylene material. However, PVC food wrap produced by companies in Japan, South Korea and other countries was banned in China and switched to China. Some of them also moved their equipment into China to build factories and used cheaper Chinese-made PVC to produce cling film. With the rise in the price of petroleum, the price of polyethylene has soared, and the cost of domestic polyethylene food cling film has soared. It has simply lost the impact of Japanese and Korean brand PVC cling film.
It is worth noting that these toxic food cling films can enter the Chinese market smoothly because they can pass relevant health inspections in China. At present, China's national food grade polyvinyl chloride product standards were promulgated by the Ministry of Health in 1988. There is no specific restriction on the use of polyvinyl chloride in food preservative films, and there is no restriction on the use of dioctyl adipate. The national inspection and quarantine department tests the product in accordance with the standards specified by the state, and the standards are cleared through customs clearance and market access.
