China has achieved a major breakthrough in food processing technology

On the 10th, we learned from the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” National Science and Technology Support Plan Major Project “Key Technology Research and Industrialization Development of Food Processing” that the project has been a major common key technology in the field of food processing since its implementation in 2006. New product development and industrialization demonstration, technology innovation platform construction and development strategy and other aspects of joint research, achieved major breakthroughs, and effectively promoted China's food industry to achieve strategic upgrading.

According to statistics, over the past three years since the project was implemented, 237 results have been obtained through technology transfer, patent transfer, and technical cooperation. The transfer of achievements has directly earned 29.275 million yuan. The project implemented a new output value of 12.045 billion yuan, a new profit tax of 2.188 billion yuan, and foreign exchange earnings of 467 million US dollars, bringing more than 2 million farmers to directly increase revenue by 4.7 billion yuan.

This project was the first major science and technology project established in China's food processing technology field in the past 30 years of reform and opening up. It has made a series of breakthroughs in the five key areas of grain, oil, food, fruit and vegetable food, livestock and poultry products, aquatic product processing, and key equipment development.

The project has developed nearly 100 kinds of new devices and new equipment around food cold sterilization, high efficiency separation and drying, food packaging and testing, etc.; major food processing in vacuum freeze-drying equipment, large-scale ultra-low temperature freeze-thaw refrigeration, complete sets of key equipment such as slaughterhouses The development of equipment has achieved a leap-forward development, and the development of some technologies and equipment has reached the international advanced level.

——Promoted the demonstration of the integration of major new food product development and industrialization. The project closely focuses on large-scale product development and industrialization demonstration of large-scale transformation and deep processing of major agricultural products such as grain and oil, fruits and vegetables, livestock and poultry, and aquatic products, as well as industrialization of major and non-staple foods. Through the rapid transformation, application, and industrialization of technological achievements, demonstrations are effective. The key areas, strategies and countermeasures for the development of China's food industry science and technology over the past 10 years.
