The ignition of the first natural gas transmission pipeline in Shanxi achieved a breakthrough in the “zero” development of natural gas in the province

The first natural gas pipeline in Shanxi Province, Linfen-Hejin Pipeline, was successfully ignited on September 21st, achieving a breakthrough of “zero” in the development and utilization of natural gas in the province.
Since the Shanxi-Beijing, Shanxi-Beijing, and West-East Gas Pipelines all pass through Shanxi, the development and utilization of natural gas in Shanxi Province is convenient. In September 2002, PetroChina and Shanxi Natural Gas Co., Ltd. signed the "Letter of Intent for Natural Gas Supply" covering seven prefectures in Shanxi Province. In November 2004, the Shanxi Provincial Government issued the "Opinions on Strengthening Natural Gas Work in the Province." In March 2005, Shanxi Natural Gas Company signed a contract for the sale and purchase of natural gas with Shanxi Huaze Aluminum Power Co., Ltd. and Chinalco Shanxi Branch. The Lintong-Hejin Pipeline, which was put into operation, has a total length of 130 kilometers and an air supply of 100 million cubic meters. According to the overall plan, Shanxi's natural gas pipeline is 1,737 kilometers long, and 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas can be introduced each year, of which 1.2 billion cubic meters are used for industrial purposes and 800 million cubic meters are used by residents.
The construction of natural gas pipeline network is carried out in three phases. After the completion of all the projects, natural gas will replace 10 million tons of coal each year, which is equivalent to reducing one year's coal production of a large mining bureau, and at the same time reducing 10 million pollutants caused by coal burning. Ton. By 2020, the major cities along the provincial natural gas trunk line in Shanxi Province will form a natural gas annular pipe network with criss-crossing and complementary gas sources that can meet the needs of urban residents and industrial gas in the province.
