Sixnet launches enterprise-class networking's first industrial Ethernet switch
Beijing time on October 20th news, M2M (machine to machine) networking solution provider Sixnet recently announced the company's new EL228 industrial Ethernet switch management platform. As the latest addition to Sixnet's entire line of industrial switches, the EL228 is the only product in the category that combines the reliability, redundancy and ruggedness required for demanding industrial environments with true enterprise networking capabilities.
By offering a wide range of high-end enterprise-class networking capabilities, the EL228 provides the capabilities needed to enable a new generation of “smart†applications in the power and energy, transportation and oil and gas industries. The EL228 is a 28-port (24+4G) Industrial Ethernet Managed Switch that provides customers with exceptional flexibility. Its 24 Fast Ethernet SFP ports can be used with any copper RJ45 or fiber optic transceiver combination. The EL228 is equipped with light-emitting diodes (LEDs), power/ground connections, console ports, and bracket positioning on the front and back of the switch, allowing customers to install the unit in front and back/reverse connections as needed.
