Where should the electromagnetic flowmeter be installed?

In the electromagnetic flowmeter, in order to achieve stable and reliable work, choose the installation site is the key, then install in what place to meet the requirements, or should pay attention to what, the following article for you to answer:

1, the choice of installation site:
·Select the place where the negative pressure does not appear in the measuring tube;
• Avoid installation of accessories for strong electrical equipment such as motors and transformers to avoid electrical interference.
• Avoid locations where there is strong corrosive gas around the installation location;
• When measuring mixed phase fluids, avoid sites that cause phase separation;
· The ambient temperature should generally be in the range of -25°C to 60°C, avoid direct sunlight as much as possible;
· If it is installed in a place where there is no vibration or if the vibration is small, if the vibration is too large, it should be fixed on the pipelines before and after the sensor;
· The relative humidity of the environment should be in the range of 10% to 90%;
Avoid installation in places where it can be directly showered or immersed;

2, the length of straight pipe requirements: (D is the internal diameter of the flowmeter)
Electromagnetic flowmeters have relatively low requirements for front and rear straight pipe sections, generally for flow resistances such as 90° elbows, T-tees, different-diameter pipes, full-open valves, etc., away from the centerline of the electrode shaft of the electromagnetic flowmeter (not the end face of the sensor). There should be 5D straight sections; for valves with different opening (such as adjustable opening valves), the straight section on the upstream side needs 10D. The straight pipe section downstream of the general sensor only needs 3D to meet the requirements. When measuring mixed liquids with different media, the distance between the mixing point and the flowmeter must be at least 30D.

3, installation location and flow direction:
Electromagnetic flowmeters can be mounted horizontally, vertically, and obliquely on the pipeline:
When mounted horizontally, the electromagnetic flowmeter's electrode shaft must be horizontal to prevent short-term insulation of the electrodes due to air bubbles entrained in the fluid and to prevent the electrodes from being covered by deposits in the fluid. Sensors should not be installed at the highest position to avoid gas accumulation.
For vertical installation, the flow direction should be upwards, so that with no flow or small flow, the heavier solid particles entrained in the fluid will sink, while the lighter limbs will rise off the sensor electrode area of ​​the electromagnetic flow meter. When the liquid-solid two-phase medium such as mud or slurry is used, solid-phase precipitation and uneven friction of the sensor lining are avoided. As shown in FIG.
• The measuring tube of the sensor must be filled with fluid and must have a certain back pressure. In order to prevent negative pressure (damaged lining), the electromagnetic flowmeter should not be installed at the pump's inlet, but should be installed at the pump's outlet; in the inclined installation, it must be installed in the riser; when the open-drained pipeline is installed, it must be installed. In the lower part of the pipeline.
The control valve and shut-off valve should be installed downstream of the sensor and should not be installed upstream of the sensor

How to install the flowmeter in the measuring well
(1, inlet 2, overflow pipe 3, inlet 4, cleaning hole 5, flow meter 6, short pipe 7, outlet 8, drain outlet 9, drain valve)
1、Magnetic cable can use HZ medium rubber cable, its length is the same as signal cable
2. Signal cables and other power supply cables must be strictly separated. They cannot be laid in the same pipe. They cannot be laid in parallel and cannot be twisted together. They should be worn separately in steel pipes.
3, signal cables and excitation cables as short as possible, can not be extra cable rolled together, should be cut off the excess cable, and re-welded head, the cable into the sensor electrical interface, made at the port at the U-type, this can prevent Rainwater penetrates into the sensor.
4. The connection between the split-type electromagnetic flowmeter excitation cable and the converter is completed with dedicated wiring. The converter and the external connection are connected to the same size electromagnetic flowmeter.
