The Hubei provincial financial and economic construction and energy conservation and emission reduction work conference held in Yichang on May 28th uploaded information. Hubei Province has already allocated 100 million yuan of special environmental protection funds this year; it supports the transformation of energy-saving technologies and the promotion of energy-saving technologies. The special funds for energy conservation will adopt a rewarding approach, linking the amount of funds to energy savings, and focus on supporting ten energy-saving projects including coal-fired boiler reform, combined heat and power generation, and building energy conservation. With the continuous implementation of China's environmental protection measures, the production of unleaded gasoline: the quantity will surely increase rapidly, and the demand for MTBE will also greatly increase. It is expected that by 2010 MTBE's demand for methanol will reach about 650,000 tons.
