Google launches USB security key
Most security experts believe that you should use two-step verification to ensure the security of all your online accounts. When you access an online account, you need to have a physical project, usually a mobile phone, for secondary verification. This is an important additional security feature. After entering the password, enter the second password from your smartphone to verify your identity. After two-step verification is enabled, even if someone steals your current password by hacking, they cannot access your account unless they also steal your physical project.
Of course, there are always situations where you may not want to use secondary verification, which is why Google announced the release of security keys. It authenticates your Google account in two steps through a physical USB memory stick account. The company explained in its official blog: "The security key is authenticated after logging in to a real Google site, not a fake Google site. The user doesn't have to enter the code, just plug the security key into the computer's USB port and then Chrome Click it when prompted.†The security key requires a USB drive to work, so it is not compatible with most phones and tablets. The security key also requires that you use the Chrome web browser to complete the verification.
