Bosch India Joint Venture to Build New Parts Production Plant
Bosch Electrical Drives India Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between German auto parts supplier Bosch and Indian Igarashi Motors India Co., Ltd., said that the company will invest 370 million Indian rupees (about 8.16 million US dollars) to build factories in India. Produce auto parts locally.
The company said that the new plant will be responsible for the production of automotive components such as wiper systems, engine cooling fan modules, air-conditioning blowers, and window lift controllers. The plant will start construction in December 2012 and will be located in Chennai, a city in southern India.
Bosch's India branch said that the joint venture will recruit an additional 350 employees over the next three years to prepare for expansion. At present, the joint venture company has 200 employees.
