In 2013, China's machine tool industry continued its overall downward trend in the past two years, and the market demand structure has undergone tremendous changes. The complete line of equipment, intelligent manufacturing islands, digital workshops, manufacturing services, etc. Development has not yet formed a scale advantage, which will also be the goal of China's machine tool industry to face new changes and create a new future.

It can be said that the level, variety and production capacity of the machine tool directly reflect the comprehensive strength of a country's industry, and the birth of China's machine tools is slightly lagging behind the United States and Germany. After nearly half of the world's development, Chinese machine tools lag far behind Germany. In the United States, Japan and other countries, domestic machine tools are mainly based on low-end economy and mid-range popular machine tools. Local machine tools still have a big gap with foreign machine tools in terms of accuracy and reliability.

Although the country has implemented a major project of “high-end CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment”, and plans to base 80% of the high-end CNC machines and basic manufacturing equipment required for the four major fields in 2020, only the large-scale high-efficiency CNC machines of Jiji Machine Tools are currently available. A project of automatic stamping production line has successfully achieved commercialization, and it is still necessary to continue efforts on key components and high-grade CNC systems.

In the future, with the increasing emphasis on domestic high-end machine tools, local machine tool brands will usher in a new period of development after strengthening talent training.
