In the past 40 years of reform and opening up, China has made remarkable achievements in energy conservation and consumption reduction under the vigorous promotion of various energy conservation and consumption reduction policies and measures. According to the statistics of the Energy Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, the energy consumption per unit of GDP in 2017 was 77.2% lower than that in 1978, with an average annual decline of 3.7%. In 2016, the two parties developed the innovative model of “Industrial Lubricant Energy Efficiency Testâ€, which aims to verify the energy-saving effect of high-efficiency and energy-saving industrial lubricants under realistic conditions and explore energy-saving solutions for Chinese enterprises. The scope of the “Industrial Lubricant Energy Efficiency Test†was further expanded in 2018. The three test companies announced in this report are located in Tianjin, Shandong and Guangdong, and their industries are more diversified, covering the wood, cement and food industries. Tests on air compressors, limestone reclaimer hydraulic systems, and injection molding machines from three companies show that the use of high-performance Mobil® industrial lubricants can help companies achieve significant energy savings:
1. Guangdong Wulian Wood Group Co., Ltd.'s fuel injection twin-screw air compressor, under the same working conditions, using Mobil Rax SHCTM1025 air compressor oil can reduce electric energy consumption by about 1.86% per hour compared with the original oil.
2. The hydraulic system of the limestone reclaimer of the clinker production line of Pingyi Zhonglian Cement Co., Ltd. can save the electric energy consumption by nearly 4.39% when using the Mobil DTE 10 Extraordinary TM46 hydraulic oil in actual working conditions. The annual oil change period is extended to the original 2 times 3 .
3. The injection molding machine for the production of preforms, caps and handles by the packaging factory of COFCO Jiayue (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. uses Mobil DTE 10 Extraordinary TM46 hydraulic oil under the premise that the operating parameters and operating conditions of the hydraulic system are basically the same. The original oil can help companies effectively reduce power consumption by 1.92%4.
ExxonMobil and China Energy Conservation Association have established a strategic partnership since 2013.
