Recently, the laver harvester, which was jointly developed by the Cangnan County Fisheries Research Institute of Zhejiang Province and the Xiangshan Marine Machinery Plant, carried out harvesting experiments in Cangnan County along the Puwan Sea area and achieved success.
Cangnan County is one of the largest alpine breeding provinces in the country, and has the title of “Hometown of Chinese Laverâ€. The breeding area is over 40,000 mu, the output (dry goods) is 6,320 tons, and the output value is 123 million yuan. However, since the laver harvesting method still stays in the traditional manual operation stage, the labor intensity is large, the labor is time-consuming, and the production efficiency is low, thereby hindering the development of the laver industry.
The successful development of mechanized harvesting technology of laver can increase the work efficiency by more than ten times, reduce the labor intensity and harvesting cost, greatly improve the productivity, and promote the transformation of the laver harvesting method from artificial to mechanical harvesting, with significant economic and social benefits.
