Second, production examples
(1) Application in gold ore dressing plant
The South African President Steyn Gold Mine treats ore 2300 to 3100 t/d and uses a carbon slurry process. There are three grinding systems, one of which is equipped with a 20-inch Nielsen concentrator. The result is that the Nielsen machine re-election rate is 51% to 53%, and the total gold recovery rate is increased by 2%. The grade of immersion ore is reduced from 4.5 to 5.0 g/t to 2.7 to 3.0 g/t, the average grade of leaching slag is reduced from 0.22 g/t to 0.16 g/t, the leaching time is shortened by one third, and the amount of cyanide is reduced by 10%. . After the 3 # grinding system is installed for half a month, it will recover more 62kg of gold (from the gold deposited in the original circuit).
Spain's Rio Narcea gold and copper mine contains Au 4 ~ 6g / t, Cu 0.2% ~ 0.9%, processing capacity of 60 ~ 70t / h. The original process flow is “jigging + flotation ten carbon leaching”, the recovery rate of re-election gold is only 2%, and the total gold recovery rate is about 87%. In the process of technological transformation in 1998, a 30-inch Nielsen machine was used to replace the jig, and then a 12-inch Nielsen machine was used to process the concentrate of the 30-inch machine. The gold recovery rate was increased to 20% to 25%. The net reversal value (NSR) of the smelter increased from 82.5% of the flotation to 97.3%, and the monthly benefit increased by $150,000. In addition, the processing capacity of the concentrator is increased by 30% and the production process is more stable.
The Paddington Gold Mine in Australia processes 1.2 million tons of ore annually and uses a carbon slurry process to raise gold. In the original grinding grading circuit, the coarse gold was recovered from the cyclone underflow by a shaker, and the recovery rate of gold was only 3.22%. After replacing the shaker with two 30-inch Nielsen machines, the recovery rate of re-election was increased to 32.8%, and the total recovery rate of the plant was increased by 2%, which achieved significant economic benefits.
The ore processing capacity of the Yingezhuang gold mine in Shandong Province is 2000t/d. The crude gold was originally recovered by the jig in the grinding circuit. The gold recovery rate is 5%~7%. After replacing the jig with a 20-inch Nielsen machine, the gold recovery rate increased to 15% to 17%. If the Nielsen machine is larger, the effect will be better.
(II) Application in gold-containing non-ferrous metal concentrator
The Tintaya copper flotation plant in Peru processed 17,500 tons of copper sulfide ore, and the ore contained Cu1.6% and Au0.35g/t. The recovery rate of the original flotation copper was 90% and the gold was 60%. Later, a Nielsen concentrator was added to one of the three grinding circuits to treat the cycle load of the mill, resulting in a 5% increase in the gold recovery rate of the entire concentrator.
Canada copper ore Westmin zinc daily ore processing 3500t, gold 2.0g / t. After flotation, the recovery of gold in copper concentrate and zinc concentrate was 35% and 15%, respectively, and the remaining 50% was lost to the tailings. After adding a 35-inch Nielsen machine to the grinding circuit to treat a part of the cyclone, the total recovery of gold increased by 3.3%.
(3) Application in the full re-election of gold selection plants
Under the unprecedented situation that the world's countries are concerned about the environmental pollution problem, the gold refining process has emerged as the times require. It has many advantages such as simple process, low investment, short return period and no pollution to the environment. At the end of the last century, the CIS countries used this process to build at least six gold-removing plants with a processing capacity between 15 and 25 t/h. The ore processed was low sulfur with a sulfide content of 1% to 5%. Gold ore, gold particle size is mostly 0.07mm. The original gold grades of four plants, such as Molodezhnoe, range from 10 to 26 g/t, and the gold recovery rate ranges from 85% to 94%. The original gold grade of Bogatyr and other two plants is 4-8g/t, and the gold recovery rate is also 70%-80%.
(4) Application in sand gold mine
Australia's Metana Minerals originally used the "cylinder screen + jigging" process to process the gold deposits in the Howley area, which can only get 0.25-0.3g gold per cubic meter of sand, far below the expected results. After the test, nine 30-inch Nielsen concentrators were installed one after another. The recovery rate of gold increased by about 35%, and the production cost did not increase.
(5) Recycling of platinum group elements
Since 1996, Russia's Norilsk Mining Company has installed 26 48-inch Nielsen machines for processing grinding circuit products, or currently produced flotation tailings, or old tailings in tailings ponds, from copper and nickel. Recovery of platinum group elements and gold from ore or tailings. Not only has a high grade platinum concentrate been obtained, but the recovery rate has increased significantly. According to Nielsen's estimates, the mine will use the Nielsen machine to recover as much as 4 to 5 tons of platinum group metals per year.
