Man arrested for uploading more than 600 erotic images for boosting blog popularity

Sun Mou has uploaded more than 600 obscene and pornographic pictures in his blog. Yesterday, the Haidian Procuratorate disclosed that Sun Mou has been approved for arrest on the suspicion of spreading pornographic articles.

31-year-old Sun Mou is currently married and worked in Beijing for several years before returning to her hometown in 2008. In October 2009, Sun Mou registered his personal blog online. In order to enhance his space popularity, from November, Sun Mou reprinted and uploaded 632 erotic images in his blog. As of May 2010, the blog was clicked more than 6,000 times. After being reported, Sun was arrested by the public security organs and the blog was also closed.

The prosecutor of the Haidian Procuratorate introduced that although the Internet blog is a personal space, the public can only enter and browse the content with simple conditions. The suspect Sun Mou copied 632 obscene pictures, although not for profit, but objectively achieved the purpose of dissemination and constituted the crime of spreading obscene articles.

In accordance with regulations, if the purpose is not to make profits, but the use of the Internet or transfer of communication terminals to disseminate obscene electronic information, the number of more than 400, should also be convicted and punished for the crime of the distribution of obscene articles.
