Hankook and Applus IDIADA to develop tire technology cooperation
On August 12, 2014, Hankook Tire and Applus IDIADA signed a memorandum of understanding in Shanghai to form a partnership on the establishment of a new technology office and tire testing and development.
Currently, Applus IDIADA has a world-class testing ground near Barcelona, ​​Spain, which is currently the most comprehensive independent testing ground in Europe. Hankook Tire will cooperate with Applus IDIADA to establish a technical office in the Applus IDIADA test ground with an area of ​​669 square meters. Hankook Tire will use the new technology office as a base for advancement, shorten the development cycle, improve the testing accuracy, and further strengthen research and development capabilities to ensure rapid growth in the global OE market, especially in the high-end accessory market.
According to the agreement, the two parties will measure and jointly study the composition of the pavement materials, and apply the findings to the newly constructed experimental site of the Hantai Experimental Engineering Center in Sangju City, South Korea.
