The 24 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences suggested that under the current energy shortage background, China should immediately implement the development of polylactic acid, a new fiber material, using corn stover as raw material. This proposal was responded to by domestic experts on new materials.
It is understood that these 24 academicians include polymer chemical expert Mao Bingquan, chemical fiber engineering design and technical management expert Jiang Shicheng, and fine chemical expert Yang Jinzong.
