Delta Bar Flowmeter basics

Delta Bar Flow Meter is a plug-in flow meter [3]. A delta bar sensor is inserted in the pipeline to generate a high pressure distribution in the forward flow direction and a low pressure distribution zone in the rear when the fluid flows through the sensor.

The loss of pipeline power is small (small pressure loss): The pressure loss of the average velocity tube is much smaller than that of the orifice plate, only 5~10% of the orifice plate; on the other hand, due to the small pressure loss, it will bring small differential pressure. (Pressure difference between high pressure and low pressure) makes the requirement for selecting a differential pressure transmitter increase and the cost increase, otherwise the output accuracy of the transmitter will be reduced because the range cannot reach full scale. Therefore, a good probe must take into account both pressure loss and differential pressure. The surface design of GZ del Taba takes full account of this factor. The section itself is symmetrical, the surface is divided into three parts (as shown in the figure below), the face is divided into smooth sections, and the probe is brought into contact with the medium smoothly; the second part is the acceleration section. Accelerate the flow rate of the medium three times, increase the contact surface with the medium, increase the pressure in the oncoming section; the third part is the high and low pressure demarcation spike, the sudden resistance disappears, and the low pressure area is formed behind the probe. High accuracy: After third-party testing, and according to new data, it is possible to achieve 2% accuracy despite the relatively short straight section. Straight pipe segments up to 1% accuracy are much shorter than normal products, as shown below. The repeatability is 0.1%. Since the pressure loss is small, wear on the probe is small, and as long as the installation is appropriate, high precision can be maintained for a long time.

Low operating costs: Because the pressure loss is small, the power loss in the pipeline is small. In general, the running cost of the equalizer is only one-tenth of the orifice plate.

The installation workload is small: Because the sensor is a plug-in work method, it has the features of simple installation. For most diameters, only a small hole is opened in the pipe. ZY Detach ZYDF25, with an aperture of 28 mm and a ZYDF50 of 54 mm, was welded on the probe catheter and the pipe. The on-site installation was basically completed. The workload was 40% of the mounting orifice plate. According to many years of installation experience, it takes 5 minutes to open the hole, weld the probe tube for 20 minutes, insert and fix the probe for 10 minutes, install the three valve group for 5 minutes, install the differential pressure transmitter for 10 minutes, and connect it for 10 minutes.
